An Artist Story
Lori Langton, artist, welcomes you to
Windance Design and Good Dog Bad Dog
Clothing. I hope you enjoy your online
visit.
As a young girl growing up in Washington
State, much of my childhood was spent
outdoors, sailing, skiing, and hiking with
my family. My natural artistic talent grew
from these experiences, making my passion
for wildlife and domestic animals even
greater. Our home was shared with three
Golden Retrievers that were a big part of my
life, and much an inspiration for me into
the future. Today I get my inspiration from
the farm that my husband and I share with
our two children, 5 dogs, 3 cats, 13
chickens, and 2 Gouldian Finches. |

In High School it wasn’t a surprise when I landed my
first job at Eastgate Kennels, a facility that
raised champion Golden Retrievers. That’s when my
true involvement in showing Golden’s
began.
Since then I have been involved in the sport of
dogs, competing in conformation, agility, and served
as a Snohomish County 4-H Dog leader for three
years. I continue today to breed, show conformation,
and compete in agility with my Golden Retrievers and
Miniature Australian Shepherds, along with my 14
year old daughter Madi and her Mini Aussie, Tazz.
Being involved in showing dogs has also given me the
opportunity to share my talents with people that
love their pets. My portraits, prints, and clothing,
are in many places across the country. It is always
a thrill to see the smiles, or tears of joy when
someone sees their finished portrait of a beloved
pet for the first time.
My
interests have grown and branched out to more than
just drawings and
portraits. Photography has become a way to not only
express my love for nature, but also a way to
capture it on film, and share my prints, cards, and
animal portraits with all who have followed my
artwork throughout the years. I have to say, my
camera tends to be a permanent fixture in my life.
One of my latest inspirations is my jewelry design.
It’s an
art medium that I put my whole heart into. I take
pleasure designing unique pieces to make jewelry a
real treasured artwork.
My
creativity for the arts continues to amaze me as I
venture in new directions. I never know from day to
day what might spark my interest and what new ideas
I might be starting. Designing my website has opened
my eyes to many new product ideas. So make sure you
check back often to see what
might be new, and as always, enjoy your visit today
browsing through Windance Design.
